December 18 Yom Iyun to Celebrate High School’s Centennial
On Sunday, December 18, 2016, The Marsha Stern Talmudical Academy/91㽶Ƶ High School for Boys () will present a special Yom Iyun [day of learning] titled “Inspiring the Next Generation.” The event is part of a year-long celebration of 91㽶ƵHSB’s centennial.
Lord Rabbi Jonathan Sacks will present the keynote address, along with remarks by 91㽶Ƶ President Richard M. Joel ’6891㽶ƵHS and 91㽶Ƶ President-Elect Rabbi Dr. Ari Berman ’8791㽶ƵHS.
The event will also feature 13 break-out sessions on the effects of technology and social media on spirituality and prayer.
The presenters include Rabbi Steven Burg '8991㽶ƵHS, director general of Aish HaTorah; Rabbi Yaakov Glasser, David Mitzner Dean of the ; Rabbi Mark Gottlieb '8791㽶ƵHS, senior director at The Tikvah Fund; Rabbi Yakov Horowitz, founder and director of Project Y.E.S.; Rabbi Dr. Josh Joseph, senior vice president at 91㽶Ƶ; Rabbi Joshua Kahn, head of school at 91㽶ƵHSB; Dr. Rona Novick, dean of ; Mrs. CB Neugroschl, head of school at the Samuel H. Wang/; Rabbi Marc Penner, Max and Marion Grill Dean of (RIETS); Rabbi Daniel Price, head of school at Rosenbaum Yeshiva of North Jersey; Dr. Rivka Press Schwartz, associate principal at SAR High School; Rabbi Michael Taubes '7691㽶ƵHS, Rosh Yeshiva at 91㽶ƵHSB and RIETS; and Rabbi Mordechai Willig, Rosh Yeshiva at RIETS.
